The 5th Annual Carroll SuperDraft is taking over the Carroll softball complex tomorrow (Saturday) to fundraise for cancer patients at St. Anthony Regional Hospital. The slow pitch tournament started up when Katie Decker and her husband Tad moved to Carroll from Ohio. She says that he is a huge slow pitch fan, participating in a similar event back in Ohio and even traveled back annually for it.

To this day, the Carroll SuperDraft has raised over $40,000 for cancer patients which Decker says helps alleviate some financial burden, but also allow patients to live their life to the fullest.

The first game gets underway tomorrow (Saturday) at 9 a.m. What makes this slow pitch tournament unique is the establishment of teams, rather than whole teams signing up, individuals players do.

The public is welcome to come watch the games for free, but Decker says are encouraged to check out the 35 various items available on the silent auction.

Decker wants to remind players and spectators of one big change that is happening this year.

A concession stand with food will also be available. All of the proceeds that are raised during the tournament go directly to local cancer patients and to assist with hosting next year’s Carroll SuperDraft Tournament. Again, all are welcome to come watch the fun take the softball field complex tomorrow (Saturday) for the 5th Annual Carroll SuperDraft.
