Nearly 4,000 pounds of supplies were delivered yesterday (Monday) after traveling almost 1,000 miles from Carroll to Kerr County, Texas, to support victims of the devastating flash flooding seen there over the Fourth of July weekend. Last week, Ben and Summer Parrott of Carroll partnered with local businesses to park a trailer outside their establishments to be filled with food, clothing, cleaning supplies, and other essentials. Parrott says Carroll once again proved how giving a community it is.

In addition to the material donations, the Parrotts also collected just shy of $3,000 from the community, which was donated to the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Kerrville to be distributed as needed. Parrott says the supplies were delivered to a drop-off center in the affected area, and it was clear every donation was needed and appreciated.

After seeing the damage first-hand, Parrott says recovery for those affected will take months. She encourages anybody who is able to consider donating to the Salvation Army.
