The 100 People Who Care of Sac County met yesterday (Sunday) to donate its recent quarterly contribution to the East Sac County (ESC) Food Pantry. The pantry, located within the high school, serves all families in need residing within the district with food boxes once a month. Organizers and volunteers for the ESC Food Pantry are grateful for the donation, as with school out for the season, some children are not getting the consistent meal that is provided during the school year. The funds received will enable the pantry to distribute more food to those in need. The 100 People Who Care Sac County has been awarding quarterly donations to nonprofit or charitable organizations throughout Sac County, including the Wall Lake American Legion for its Veterans Memorial, the Lake View Library for an expansion project, the Early Achievers 4-H Club for a poured-in-place rubber surface for the city’s playground, and more. The group meets again in October to vote on another organization to assist.
