The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will meet slightly earlier than usual for next week’s meeting for a closed session prior to their routine business. The supervisors will convene at 8:30 a.m. in closes session under Iowa Code 21.5(1)(c), “To discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of the governmental body in that litigation.” The board may take action after returning to open session. They will then review the county’s payables, hear from County Engineer Zac Andersen on secondary roads, utility permits, and drains, and approve plats. The supervisors will consider a resolution to authorize the sale of surplus radio equipment to another county. Communications Center Director Jason Hoffman will also update the board on dealings within his department. The Monday, July 14, meeting will close with reports from the supervisors on their respective committees. Links to the agenda and live-stream video are included with this story on our website.
