Two Carroll residents are being charged with possession of a firearm as convicted felons. According to Carroll County District court records, 32-year-old Fermerra Da’Shai Young contacted the Carroll Police Department on June 2 to turn in a handgun after allegedly having it in her possession and instructed to hand it over by a probation officer. The firearm was registered to 35-year-old Lucio Pulido, who is also a convicted felony for a third Operating While Intoxicated offense back in 2024. Young and Pulido are each facing one count dominion in control of a firearm as a felon, a class D felony. Both have been ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 24 at the Carroll County Courthouse. If convicted, the maximum sentence for the charge is five years in prison and $7,500 in fines.
