Iowa Fuel Report: July 9, 2025

Iowans again saw price declines at the pump in this week’s fuel report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) and AAA-Iowa. As of Wednesday, July 9, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline across the state was $2.93, down six cents from the prior week and 36 cents below prices from a year ago. The national average on Wednesday was also down, but only by one cent, to $3.16 per gallon. In Iowa retail diesel, the average price dipped five cents to $3.52 per gallon, still 25 cents higher than this time last year. Local prices remain 18 cents below the national average of $3.70 per gallon. In renewable at the Des Moines Terminal, E10 checked in at $1.95, Unleaded 87 at $2.38, ULSD#2 at $2.43, ULSD #1 at $2.38, and E70 at $1.91. Natural gas prices at the Henry Hub reporting site were down 31 cents to $3.16 per MMBtu.
