Gowrie Man Found Guilty For Murder And Abuse Of Corpse Of Farnhamville Teen Last Year

A Gowrie man has been found guilty for first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse for the death of a Farnhamville teen last year. According to Calhoun County District Court records, 21-year-old Nathaniel Kyren Bevers-McGivney was found guilty by a judge on both charges during a bench trial today (Wednesday). Bevers-McGivney murdered 17-year-old Michele “Luna” Jackson on Sept. 22, 2024 at a Farnhamville park by using a knife to cut her throat, then moved the body to conceal the crime. Last month, Bevers-McGivney waived his right to a jury trial and faced a judge for prosecution. Both charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. He remains in custody and awaits his sentencing hearing scheduled for Aug. 15 at the Calhoun County Courthouse.
