The City of Manson in Calhoun County issued a boil advisory to customers this (Tuesday) morning. According to a message from city officials, water pressure in the community, primarily the southern neighborhoods, experienced an unexpected loss of water pressure. Crews were dispatched to correct the issue. However, Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) regulations mandate the issuance of a boil advisory if pressures drop below 20 psi, which could allow contaminants into the system. Officials note additional boil orders may be issued as staff work through the problem.
