Sac City’s 169th Chautauqua Days Is ‘Cheering For All The Years’ In 2025

The 169th annual celebration of Sac City’s Chautauqua Days kicks off tomorrow (Wednesday) with a weekend packed full of fun and excitement. The event begins with a Kid’s Blitz at the Chautauqua Building, sponsored by Unity Church, offering high-energy engagement for youth to participate in. The rest of the fun starts on Friday, with Jackson’s 4-H Waffle breakfast in the morning, scoop the loop, cornhole tournament in the afternoon, with the fireworks and a night swim at the Sac Aquatic Center scheduled later that evening. Saturday is packed full with the Color Run at 8 a.m., Wiener Dog Races and Costume Parade at 10 a.m., Car Show at 12 p.m., and the 2025 Chautauqua Day Parade at 4 p.m. All East Sac graduates are welcome to join in the All-School Reunion at 5:30 p.m. at the Sac County Fairgrounds. Sunday concludes the weekend with church services at 10 a.m., the Red, White, and Boom Golf Tournament, the popular alumni swim meet and rubber duck races, ending with the community float down the Raccoon River. The Sac City Chamber encourages all to come “Cheers to all the Years” celebrating the town’s pride and growth since 1856 by attending this year’s Chautauqua Days this upcoming holiday weekend.
