Multiple organizations and businesses in Coon Rapids have partnered to host various activities for the annual Fourth of July celebration, which kicks off this Thursday. As always, the event begins with a free lunch on the lawn, provided by Iowa Savings Bank, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 3, followed by the popular Penny Dive at the Coon Rapids Aquatic Center that afternoon. Community Coordinator Katie Mason says two vital agencies that serve the residents of Coon Rapids will take over for Thursday night’s activities in the City Park.
