The City of Sac City is adjusting a few changes regarding traffic to better accommodate the newly developed housing areas in the community. During the last city council meeting, members discussed amendments to ordinances regarding traffic in the alley by the Sac Fox Flats and parking concerns by Deer Run housing development. City Administrator Jamie Lawrence says both projects have been in the works for quite some time and were the primary focus of the city’s updated comprehensive plan.

Lawrence says one of the new traffic changes will be to make the alley directly north of the old East Sac County (ESC) Middle School, between 11th and 12th Street, a one-way.

The next change is in regards to parking on O’Connor Drive in the southwest corner of the city, which Lawrence says is the Deer Run housing subdivision.
