The City of Carroll will conduct citywide mosquito spraying on Wednesday, July 2, weather permitting. Spraying will begin in the early evening and continue until all areas have been treated. The effort is part of the city’s ongoing summer initiative to control mosquito populations and protect public health. Evening spraying is timed to coincide with peak mosquito activity and favorable weather conditions. Residents are encouraged to take precautions during the spraying period, including staying indoors and keeping windows and doors closed to minimize exposure. While the insecticide is considered safe for low exposure levels, individuals with chemical sensitivities should avoid direct contact with the spray. Officials say the mosquito control product is EPA-approved and poses minimal risk to people and animals when applied correctly. However, limiting outdoor exposure during and shortly after spraying is recommended. For additional information or updates, residents may contact Carroll City Hall at 712-792-1000.
