The bulk of the duration of Monday’s Carroll County Board of Supervisors meeting is expected to be focused on the proposed relocation of an anhydrous ammonia facility near Templeton. Landus Cooperative plans to relocate an existing 30,000-gallon tank and another empty 30,000-gallon tank from the company’s in-town property on Railway Street and move them to 17201 300th St. to a new facility that is about a half-mile west of town. The out-of-town facility will replace the in-town one once the transfer is completed. Other items on the agenda include an update from County Engineer Zac Andersen concerning secondary roads, utility permits, and drains, a resolution to authorize the sale of the county’s surplus radio equipment, end-of-year inter-fund transfers, an ambulance building roof bid, and manure management annual updates. The board will close its meeting with reports from the supervisors and their respective committees. The June 23 meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the Carroll County Courthouse and is open to the public.
