The City of Carroll will conduct routine mosquito spraying throughout the community on Thursday, June 19, beginning in the early evening and continuing until the entire city is treated, weather permitting. The effort is part of the city’s ongoing mosquito control program to reduce mosquito populations and protect public health during the summer months. Spraying will begin as mosquitos become more active in the early evening and will continue into the night. City officials advise residents to take basic precautions during the spraying process. Residents with breathing difficulties or chemical sensitivities are encouraged to stay indoors, close windows and doors, and avoid direct contact with the spray. Although the mosquito control product is approved for residential use and poses minimal risk to people and pets when applied as directed, limiting outdoor exposure during and shortly after application is recommended.
