Manning Area Partners (MAP) is ready to celebrate the 142nd annual Kinderfest this Father’s Day weekend. MAP Executive Director Andrea Rohe says so many individuals and businesses come together to make this celebration happen, and it’s a testament to their dedication to continue the tradition for well over a century.
The event kicks off on Saturday with the 5K run/walk starting at 8 a.m., followed by a kids’ fun run. The parade will take place at 11 a.m. on Main Street, with the rest of the activities at Manning City Park.
Wristbands are required to participate in the activities. They can be purchased at the park on Saturday or in advance at First National Bank, Manning Pharmacy, Templeton Savings Bank, and Manning City Hall. Raffle tickets are also available at the same locations to win some fantastic prizes donated by businesses and individuals. After the Kinderfest activities wind down, Rohe invites all the adults to celebrate the newly formed MAP organization with Party on the Bricks.
The 300th block of Main Street from Manning Marketplace to Brick Haus Brews will be closed off for the gathering on Saturday night.
Rohe wishes to extend a thank you to all the businesses, volunteers, and everyone who has continued to show support for not only Kinderfest and Party on the Bricks but every event MAP has organized.
Again, join MAP to celebrate the 142nd Kinderfest activities and Party on the Bricks this Saturday.
