Carroll County Supervisors Approve New Traffic Controls At 150th/Noble Avenue In Response To Public Input

An oft-used unofficial bypass north of Carroll has new traffic control devices in response to concerns from country residents about the number of crashes at the intersection. Carroll County Board of Supervisors Chair Scott Johnson says they have heard from numerous individuals worried about the 150th Street and Noble Avenue intersection in recent months.

Johnson says the board directed the Carroll County Secondary Roads Department to add additional warnings at the intersection with the goal of reducing the number of vehicles failing to notice the stop signs for north and southbound traffic.

Johnson adds that the board considered the approximately $1,800 price tag for the flashing light to be well worth the cost, especially considering the public’s concerns.

The new flashing light is now active, and county officials are optimistic that it will significantly reduce the number of crashes at the 150th Street and Noble Avenue intersection.
