The Stone Pier Summer Concert Series is kicking off the 15th year of free music on Black Hawk Lake at the Stone Pier Stage this upcoming Saturday. Taking the stage at 5:30 p.m. is Todd Patridge & the Whiskey Gospel, performing rock and roll ballads and original songs produced from his ten albums. Todd Patridge performed at the very first Stone Pier show with King of the Tramps in 2001. The next headliner will be a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic rock band a little early. Good To Be King is an Iowa-based group that started in 2002 and changed to play exclusively Tomy Petty songs after he died in 2017. A variety of food will be available, from Pim’s Thai Food, Sizzling J BBQ, Smokin’ Hereford, Dolly’s Roadside Grill, Kona Ice of Central Iowa, the Baum Pop Stop, and a crowd favorite, the Lake View’s Fire Department’s Burger Boat, delivering food grilled up by the Black Hawk Men’s Club. Whether on land or by boat, everyone is welcome to attend the first concert for the 2025 Stone Pier Summer Concert Series this Saturday, starting at 5:30 p.m. after the Lake View Community Club’s Sip and Sample.
