It’s a horsepower weekend in Manning this Saturday and Sunday with the Heritage Farm Team Show and the Parade of Cars. On Saturday, the Manning Hausbarn-Heritage Park will host the Heritage Farm Team Show at the new Willow Creek Arena, with the draft horses performing various tasks and tricks for entertainment. The show starts at noon, featuring wagon rides, other kid-friendly activities, and burgers and brats available for a free-will donation. Admission is $10 per person (ages 12 and up), but it’s free for members. Following the Heritage Farm Show at the Konferenz Center is a free concert featuring Anthony Garcia, singer, and songwriter of various genres, including rock, classical piano, Spanish guitar, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Garcia before the show at 6 p.m., with the music starting at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, the Manning Rotary Club Parade of Cars will take place on Main Street. Registration begins at noon, with the parade of cars at 2 p.m., featuring a world-class 2022 Ford GT 40 and a fully restored 1963 Corvette. Prizes will be awarded in four classes based on age, and a bonus prize for best of show. Food, music, and drinks will be available. The Manning Rotary will be accepting free-will donations to go towards the costs of constructing a new little league field. Again, join the Manning Hausbarn-Heritage Park and the Manning Rotary Club to kick off a weekend full of activities throughout the Manning community.
