Iowa Fuel Report: June 4, 2025

Fuel prices showed slight declines in this week’s report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) and AAA-Iowa. As of Wednesday, June 4, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the state was $2.94, down one cent from last week and 28 cents below prices from a year ago. The national average on Wednesday was down two cents to $3.14 per gallon. In retail diesel, Iowa prices dipped one cent to $3.31 per gallon, compared to $3.55 per gallon at this time in 2024. The national average held 21 cents higher than local prices at $3.52 per gallon. As for renewable fuels at the Des Moines Terminal, E10 was $1.98, Unleaded 87 was $2.30, ULSD#2 was $2.15, ULSD#1 was $2.41, and E70 was $1.93. Natural gas prices at the Henry Hub reporting site rose 10 cents to $3.71 per MMBtu.
