A boil order will be issued for the City of Auburn until further notice once water in turned back on. Crews shut off water throughout the town until necessary repairs in the system were made. Due to the loss of pressure when water was turned off, a boil order will be issued to ensure there is no contamination of bacteria. Residents are asked to boil water for at least two minutes if water is planned to be used for consumption, such as preparing food, making ice, etc. Water is still safe to use for general cleaning and shower. The boil order will remain in effect until test samples return negative of bacteria, which is expected to be approximately 48 hours.
