A Carroll man was taken into custody for allegedly engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old. According to Carroll County District Court records, 24-year-old Demedrious David Lyons was arrested yesterday (Thursday) morning for allegedly engaging in sexual misconduct with a juvenile at a park last month. Lyons remains in custody at the Carroll County Jail on a $25,000 surety bond. He is facing charges of third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 5 at the Carroll County Courthouse. If convicted, Lyons can face a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
