A Templeton teen was involved in an accident on Highway 30 just east of Boone earlier this (Thursday) morning that resulted in the death of a Boone man. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2006 Ford Mustang, operated by 17-year-old Aubrey Alexander was traveling eastbound on Highway 30 around 8:24 a.m. when a 2003 Ford Ranger, driven by 89-year-old Dale Ray Crouse failed to yield while driving southbound on Montana Road. Alexander was unable to avoid a collision and struck the Crouse vehicle. Crouse was transported to Boone County Hospital by emergency medical services where he later died from injuries sustained. The crash still remains under investigation. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by multiple agencies at the scene.
