Several surrounding schools will be offering free summer meals for children under 18 throughout its district. The program serves to provide essential nutritious meals to students while school is not in session, either through eating on-site or to-go prepared lunches. Most meals start next week lasting through the end of July or the beginning of August. Some require registration by the end of this week to ensure enough food is prepped. Schools participating in this year’s summer meal program include East Sac County, Greene County, Denison-Schleswig, Kuemper Catholic, Carroll Community, Coon Rapids-Bayard and Audubon Community School Districts. Details including pick up location, times and dates has been included below.
East Sac County: Grab and Go
June 9 through July 30
ESC High School in Lake View and ESC Elementary School in Sac City
Monday and Wednesdays 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Greene County CSD: Grab and Go

Jefferson: Elementary School ; Grand Junction: Community Center ; Scranton and Rippey

Adults can purchase meals for themselves for $3 per breakfast and $5 per lunch.
