Iowa ABI Names Finalists In 2025 “Coolest Thing Made In Iowa Contest”

The Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) has announced the Top four finalists in the 2025 Coolest Thing Made in Iowa competition. The contest celebrates Iowa’s manufacturing industry, which supports more than 215,000 jobs and contributes over $43 billion annually to the state’s economy. The 2025 finalists are the Butter Braid® Pastry from Country Maid, Inc., in West Bend; the CHC Chocolate Pump from Viking Pump, Inc., in Cedar Falls; the CP770 Cotton Picker from John Deere out of Ankeny; and the Moose Fireplace Grill made by Moose Fireplace Grill, LLC, of Red Oak. The final round of voting is now open to the public through Tuesday, June 3. Individuals can vote once per day per device at www.coolestthingia.com. The winner will be announced live at ABI’s Taking Care of Business Conference on Wednesday, June 11, at 12 p.m.The second annual competition drew nearly 70 product nominations. It included four local manufacturers: Volquartsen Firearms, AAI-Spalding, Anchor Shock, and Puck Fire.
