Authorities Release More Details From Wednesday’s Storm Creek Crash

Authorities have released more details from a single-vehicle crash yesterday (Wednesday) morning that ended with one vehicle in Storm Creek along Highway 30. According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. between Carroll and Glidden east of the Storm Creek bridge. Law enforcement says 60-year Michael George Sexton of Rockwell City was traveling westbound on the highway in a 2008 GMC Envoy and had stopped for construction at the bridge. As traffic began to move, Sexton is believed to have experienced a medical issue and left the roadway to the south, traveling through a field, over an embankment, and into Storm Creek. Sexton was uninjured as a result of the crash but was transported by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services due to him losing consciousness. The Glidden Fire Department and Carroll County Communications Center also assisted in the response.
