Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) has announced a new partnership with Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan to expand OB-GYN services in the region. The agreement is in response to growing shortages in obstetric care for families in rural areas nationwide. As part of the agreement, Dr. Kelly Anderson, DO, will begin seeing patients at MRHC on the fourth Thursday of each month starting June 26. While most appointments will take place in Manning, prenatal visits and deliveries will occur at the hospital in Harlan. MRHC CEO Shannon Black says, “We’re proud to continue improving access to care for the women and families we serve. This agreement enhances our current women’s health services and ensures continued access to local prenatal and gynecological care close to home.” Anderson joins longtime MRHC provider Dr. Michael Woods and brings a full spectrum of women’s health expertise, including family planning, prenatal care, menopause management, and surgical services.
