Sen. Chuck Grassley has announced planned traveling hours for some of his staff, which include stops here in the listening area. Next Thursday and Friday, May 22 and 23, any Iowans needing assistance with a federal agency or to share their views on issues being debated in our nation’s capital. Grassley says, “For 45 years, I’ve made it a point to hold meetings in every county, every year. I can’t meet face-to-face with all three million Iowans, so in addition to mail and telephone communication, my staff holds traveling office hours to ensure my constituents’ concerns are heard and their problems are addressed. I encourage Iowans needing assistance to stop by during these upcoming traveling office hours to meet with my staff, or contact one of my offices.” Stops in western Iowa next week on Thursday include Ida County from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Lohff-Schumann Community Center in Holstein, Adair County at the Greenfield Public Library from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Cherokee County from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce, and Guthrie County at the Panora Public Library from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The only stop on Friday that is reasonably close is in Story County from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Nevada Public Library.
