Whiterock Conservancy Is Looking For Volunteers To Assist With Brush Management Project This Saturday

Whiterock Conservancy in Coon Rapids is looking for volunteers to assist with restoration efforts with a brush management project this upcoming Saturday. Individuals will be working through a section of remnant prairie of invasive brush, to promote a healthy landscape for the conservancy from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Work may include cutting and piling brush, treating cut stumps and more. Volunteers are asked to wear close-toed shoes, long sleeved shirts and pants and to bring personal protective equipment (PPE) if able to. Whiterock staff will have basic PPE, such as gloves, eye and ear protection. A waiver will need to be signed for all volunteers upon arrival on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at 1221 Fig Ave, in Coon Rapids. Pizza and refreshments will be provided at the conclusion of the event.
