The Carroll County Historical Society is gearing up for the summer season and invites the public to join them for their annual open house next month. On Sunday, June 8, all four of the society’s sites will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., including the farmstead on the east side of Swan Lake, the trappers’ cabin and one-room schoolhouse in Graham Park, and the museum on U.S. Highway 30 in the old Carnegie Library. The farmstead will also have multiple antique tractors on display, and the old Fleshner’s popcorn maker will be running for people to grab a snack. The June 8 open house also marks the beginning of summer hours for the Carroll County Historical Society, which will be open from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays through Fridays and Sundays throughout the season.
