Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) celebrated over 3,800 graduates this week during its 2025 commencement ceremonies across six campuses, awarding a total of 5,065 degrees, diplomas and certificates—up 422 from last year. DMACC President Rob Denson, who is set to retire later this year after more than two decades of leadership, addressed graduates during the Des Moines Metro ceremony Wednesday evening. The Carroll Campus celebrated its graduates Friday afternoon at the Carroll High School gymnasium. Among this year’s milestones, a record 125 high school students earned Associate of Arts degrees through DMACC’s Career Advantage program, up from 106 last year.
