The Carroll County Board of Supervisors has a full agenda for its upcoming meeting on Monday. The board convenes at 9 a.m. at the Carroll County Courthouse in the supervisors’ meeting room. At the top of the agenda is a presentation from the City of Manning to request grant support for the $2.5 million Park Avenue Neighborhood Revitalization Grant. The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) has selected Manning to apply for up to $1.75 million in grant funding, leaving the city to come up with $750,000 in matching funds. Around $500,000 of that match has already been secured. The supervisors will also review and consider approval of law enforcement contracts with communities in the county that do not have their own police department. At 9:30 a.m., the board will hold a public hearing for a routine Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 budget amendment, followed by the required appropriations resolution. The Carroll County Secondary Roads report includes updates on utility permits, drains, and construction projects, as well as the possible approval of the county engineer’s annual contract. The supervisors will close the meeting with proposed changes to the employee handbook, quotes for repairs to the courthouse north entrance canopy, and manure management annual updates. The meeting on Monday, May 12, is open to the public and will be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel. Links to the full agenda and video are included below.
