Michael (Mike) Roger Rasmussen, age 78, of Exira, IA, passed away on May 7, 2025 peacefully at home due to complications from a four-year battle from myelodysplastic syndrome.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Exira with Father David Nkrumah as Celebrant. Lectors will be Zoey Rasmussen and Audrey Strohmeyer. Mass Servers will be Austin Rasmussen, Weston Rasmussen and Oliver Strohmeyer. Gift bearers will be Calvin Rasmussen and Greyson Spruell. Casket bearers will be Matt Rasmussen, Joe Rasmussen, Matt Strohmeyer, Bruce Boehm, Justin Spruell, Lucas Strohmeyer, and Austin Rasmussen. Honorary casket bearers will be Dave Paulsen, Vernie Venteicher, Randy Jespersen, Russell Crawford, Craig Sorensen, and Ahman Douglass. Burial will be in the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at the Exira Event Center in Exira.
