United Bank of Iowa (UBI) donates $2,000 to the St. Anthony Friendship Fund through its Community Cause Day. The St. Anthony Friendship fund was created back in 2014, to provide support to cancer patients in the area and west central Iowa who are in financial need. UBI Community Cause Day kicked off in Sept. 2020, where employees at all 35 locations donate $5 to wear UNITED TOGETHER t-shirts and jeans to work every second and fourth Fridays of the month. The bank then matches up to $1,000 of the funds raised to be donated to a cause randomly drawn from suggestions. In 2025, UBI has donated over $14,000 to seven organizations or groups that support communities. Other local organizations that received funding included: $2,004 to C-3 (Community + Christ + Celebration) in Manning, and $2,042 to Siouxland Mental Health Center in Charter Oak.
