The 5th Annual Bike Ride Around Greene County (BRAG) is approaching quickly, and organizers are reminding those interested to register before May 6 to receive a t-shirt. The 37-mile route will kick off at 10 a.m. on May 24 and will travel from Jefferson through Spring Lake, Paton, Dana, and Grand Junction, and end back in Jefferson for the after-party with prizes and trivia. New this year, a second route has been added, which offers a gravel option when riding from Dana to Grand Junction. Registration is open now for a special pre-registration price of $30, with the option to purchase a t-shirt for an additional $20 to $27. T-shirt sales end tomorrow (Tuesday). After May 14, general registration opens for $35 per adult rider, with kids 16 and under able to ride for free with an adult. All proceeds from the BRAG event will help fund Jefferson Matters’s mission to support and preserve history downtown and help promote projects that contribute to Jefferson’s vitality.
