Iowans saw minor declines in fuel prices over the past week, according to the latest report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) and AAA-Iowa. As of Wednesday, April 30, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $2.97, down one cent from last week’s price and 29 cents below prices from a year ago. Retail diesel prices in Iowa averaged $3.34 per gallon, down three cents on the week and 38 cents below 2024’s prices. Nationally, diesel prices averaged $3.56 per gallon. The current Des Moines Terminal prices for renewable fuels were $2.01 for E10, $2.44 for Unleaded 87, $2.23 for ULSD#2, $2.47 for ULSD#1, and $1.95 for E70. In heating fuels, natural gas prices at the Henry Hub reporting site were up 25 cents to $3.32 per MMBtu.
