Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) welcomed more than 50 seniors and their families on April 24 for a successful Senior Day event to promote health, wellness, and community connection among older adults. The free, come-and-go event featured a health and wellness vendor fair, a complimentary lunch, and informative presentations by MRHC staff on topics including medication safety, mental health, mobility, skilled care, and Medicare fraud. Attendees also had the opportunity to connect directly with healthcare professionals and local service providers. Event Coordinator Haylee Barsby says, “It was a meaningful day that strengthened community bonds and highlighted the importance of caring for our older residents. It was so awesome to see vendors interact with our community members and showcase local businesses who can help with the aging process. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make it a positive experience for all!” The event included participation from multiple MRHC departments and 16 community organizations dedicated to serving seniors throughout the region.
