Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) has named its Housekeeping Department the second quarter’s Team Award recipient, recognizing the staff’s outstanding service during a challenging week in March. During a particularly busy period in the Obstetrics (OB) department, housekeeping staff stepped up to meet the demands of rapidly turning over patient rooms. Their response, professionalism and positive attitude ensured the hospital maintained safe and clean care environments. SMCH CEO Linn Block says, “Though often behind the scenes, their impact is deeply felt throughout the hospital. They are essential to everything we do, and this recognition reflects their commitment to excellence.” On March 13 and 14 alone, the team worked to clean and reset rooms to accommodate ongoing patient needs. The Team Award honors departments that demonstrate exceptional teamwork, service, and commitment to SMCH’s mission.
