This Friday, the City of Glidden is offering its annual curbside Spring Clean Up for residents to refresh and provide an alternative option to keep the community clean. City Administrator Brooke Peterson says the Spring Clean Up event is held on the first Friday of May every year, and this year will follow the same procedures as previous clean up days.
Appliances can be dropped off at the roll off in front of City Hall for no charge, while technology with a screen will have a $25 fee per screen. Peterson says smaller items can be placed on the curb for pick up, but need to be neatly stacked and ready to go by 6 a.m. Friday.
Peterson reminds residents to keep items out of additional garbage containers or totes unless wishing to dispose of those too, as everything on curbs will be hauled away and items thrown cannot be retrieved.
