The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education has approved the hire of Dean Lansman as the next Middle School Principal for the 2025-26 school year. Lansman is currently serving as the assistant high school principal at Ballard High School in Huxley. Lansman is a native of Rippey in Greene County and is excited to be bringing his family back close to home.
Lansman has held a career in education for the past 29 years, from starting as a coach and teacher at various districts including: Spencer, Perry, Greene County for 14 years before moving to North Polk as an Instructional Coach, completing his administration degree through Iowa State University. He then accepted an administrative position at Ballard CSD four years ago. Lansman did say that education was not the original plan when he graduated high school.
Lansman says CCSD is a great district with a lot of great things going on and he is excited to be apart of it.
Lansman will step into the new position beginning July 1. He welcomes anyone over the course of the summer to come to his office to get to know him before the start of the school year. He says his door is always open and he looks forward to meeting and working with everyone at CCSD.
