The Community Foundation of Carroll County (CFCC) has announced the recipients for 28 grants in the 2025 grant cycle, totaling just over $203,000 to local nonprofits and cities. The funding comes from the County Endowment program, the CFCC Endowment Fund, and the Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation. Some of the larger awards include $21,500 to the City of Lidderdale for the Lidderdale Park Project, $20,000 to the New Hope Foundation to implement smart home technology for clients, $15,000 to the Manning Betterment Foundation for crossing improvements to the Main Street and Highway 141 intersection, and $10,000 to the Breda Daycare center to incorporate infant classrooms and outdoor play spaces. Since its founding in 2006, the CFCC has distributed more than $2.4 million to benefit Carroll County organizations. The CFCC funds projects with gaming tax revenue distributed by the State of Iowa County Endowment Fund Program and gaming profits shared by Wild Rose Casino through the Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation.
