No injuries were reported following the negligent discharge of a firearm in Carroll over the weekend. According to the Carroll Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Vine Street at approximately 4:39 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, in response to a reported gunshot. Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old male who told law enforcement he had dropped his Smith & Wesson Response carbine, which fired and struck a neighbor’s home. Fortunately, the bullet caused no damage beyond what occurred at the adjacent property, and the individual was not charged, as there was no intent to fire the weapon.
