Iowa State Bank (ISB) presented a check to the East Sac County Schools earlier this week to help complete the playground update schedule for this summer. The district has approved renovating the 30-year-old playground by making it wheelchair accessible, with new equipment to play on, a zip line, new poured-in-place rubber surfacing, and much more. The project is expected to cost the district approximately $465,000. Iowa State Bank, with locations in Sac City, Odebolt, and Lake View, presented the $25,000 donation to help offset the cost paid by the school. President of ISB Steve Spotts, on a social media post, says, “Iowa State Bank has always been committed to the success, betterment, and growth of Sac County. With 98 years of service to Sac County, we have always been a community-driven financial institution. We are pleased to be able to participate in local projects which benefit our students and communities.” Construction of the new playground is expected to begin after the students’ last day on May 23 and will be completed by the start of the next school year.
