The deadline for the candidate filing for the primary elections closed today (Friday) at 5 p.m. For the Carroll County Board of Supervisor positions, two current board members are looking to seek re-election, District 1 Supervisor Scott Johnson, and District 3 Eugene Meiners. Board of Supervisor for District Five had three candidates run for election, Republicans Mark McCrea and Adam Schweers, and Democrat Cindy Johnson. Current Carroll County Sherrif Kenneth Pingrey is seeking re-election for the position as well Kourtney Payer to remain as County Auditor. The State Primary will be on June 4 of this year, with the General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
