The Carroll County Professional Paramedics Association And Carroll County Board Of Supervisors Have Set A One-Year Agreement, With Wage Increases As Part Of It

The Carroll County Professional Paramedics Association and the Carroll County Board of Supervisors have approved of a one-year agreement, which includes wage increases for all members. The local paramedics association presented the board with their initial proposal of increasing the pay of each tier by $0.75 per hour and increase all wages for on-call pay to half of regular duty pay. Director for the Carroll County Ambulance Service Jamie Wuebker, says the supervisors were unable to agree to that request at this time.

The new agreement has a $0.25 per hour increase for each tier of the paramedics association and a $1.00 per hour increase for on-call pay. All eleven members, which consist of nine full-time paramedics, one full-time EMT and one regular part-time EMT will all see an increase to wages. Wuebker said other minor adjustments were made to the contract.

The tiers Wuebker is referring to includes the experience and certifications of the individual.

Wuebker also hopes with in the next month, the Carroll County Ambulance Service will start the process of being voted as an essential service. His goal would be to follow the process and get all of the necessary actions completed to be placed on the ballot for this upcoming election in November.
