Sac City Man Arrested Late February On Multiple Drug-Related Charges

The Sac City Police Department executed a theft and narcotics search warrant at a residence in Sac City, leading to the arrest of an individual on multiple drug-related charges. On Feb. 25, the Sac City PD, with assistance from the Sac County Sheriff’s Department, searched the house located at 310 South State St, occupied by 53-year-old Jerry Rahn, finding several items stolen from a local store, prescription drugs individually packaged, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Rahn was taken into custody and released on Feb. 3, after posting $11,000 bond. Rahn is being charged with Possession of a controlled substance, a third or subsequence offense, a class D felony, six counts of unlawful Possession of prescription drugs, each a serious misdemeanor, two counts of fifth-degree theft, each simple misdemeanor, and Possession of drug paraphernalia, also a simple misdemeanor. During his initial appearance, Rahn pleaded not guilty and is set to appear again in court on Mar. 22. If charged, Rahn can face up to 21 years in prison and around $13,000 in fines.
