Applications Are Now Open For Lt. Gov. STEM Education Scholarship, All Iowa Schools Are Invited To Apply

Iowa Schools are encouraged to apply for the Lt. Governor’s STEM Education Scholarship program to assist with funding projects, curriculum, or equipment related to the STEM field. The National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) program has provided STEM education to over 1000 K-12 students across 15 states since the scholarships started in 2022. This award, sponsored by American College Testing (ACT), will support up to $1,000 for eight schools and $500 for four schools nationally to encourage students to become critical thinkers and team builders and prepare them for jobs of the future. All public, private, and tribal schools are eligible as long as the funding will be used to support STEM-related activities. Applications are currently being accepted until March 15.
