Carroll Community School District will be holding a Board Work Session on Monday. The first item on the agenda is to consider the approval of the Teacher Leadership Committee (TLC) plan revisions that were presented during the last board meeting. Adams’ Principal Amy Collison, who also serves on the TLC proposed two new positions for the district that will assist teachers with professional development and guidance for teachers. The Instructional coach role would remove four current teachers, one from each school building to serve as a resource for professional development to improve instructional practices. The Teacher Leadership position would add additional duties to ten teachers at each building, a leadership for each grade level or specific curriculum to serve as a liaison between teams and district leaders and facilitate PLC meetings. Other agenda items include district budget updates and reviewing the staffing plan for 2024-25 school year, especially addressing attracting and retaining staff. The CCSD Board of Education workshop meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday night at Adams Elementary School.
