The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education meets on Monday for their December work session. The agenda includes only one item, and that is a discussion with an architecture firm, DLR Group, and investment banking firm, Piper Sandler, on the district’s long-term facility plans and potential funding avenues. The board will use this time to update new board members on the district’s previous studies on facility needs and explore options to address those items. Previous boards have signaled they plan to pursue a new transportation facility for the district’s bus fleet. School officials note the existing bus barn no longer meets the maintenance needs of modern buses and needs to be updated. The board will not take any formal action during Monday’s work session.
