The first of two Carroll County Growth Partnership (CCGP) Forums is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) evening. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Carroll High School (CHS) auditorium, the seven candidates who have filed to run for the three open seats on the Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education will answer questions from the CCGP Legislative Committee or those submitted in advance to chamber@carrolliowa.com. School board candidates include Casie Forke-Burke, Jim Friel, Jill Johnston, Stacy McCaulley, Cynthia Scaturico, Jason Schagt, and Sara Woerdehoff. Wednesday’s forum is open to the public and will also be live-streamed via the KCIM YouTube page. CCGP will host a second forum on Wednesday, Oct. 25, also at 6:30 p.m. in the CHS auditorium, featuring the Carroll City Council candidates: Jerry Fleshner for Mayor, LaVern Dirkx for At-Large, Jason Atherton in Ward 2, and Justin McCool and Carolyn Siemann, the incumbent, for Ward 4. Election Day for the city and school elections is Tuesday, Nov. 7.
