A Dallas Center man was airlifted with severe injuries after crashing his ATV in southern Guthrie County over the weekend. According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Jack Matthew Winter was operating a 2006 Yamaha YFM40 through a privately owned timber in the 3000 block of Wagon Road around 9 a.m. on Saturday. Authorities say Winter lost control of the ATV and collided with a tree. Winter was seriously injured in the crash and needed to be airlifted to Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines for treatment.
